Day 8 Arkansas Whitaker Point, drive to New Orleans, Louisiana

Trusting God

We drove from Texas to Arkansas to take an awesome picture at Whitaker Point, Arkansas. It was so pretty, and I'm so glad we went. However we didn't arrive until about 8pm and the hike was about 30 minutes so after we finally got our pictures and started to hike back it was pitch black! Yes we got lost... Rebecca and I both we're praying that God take us safely back to the car, and behold we we're just about half a mile away. God has been so good to us during this trip. I believe He has been talking me to trust Him, but I have been stubborn and have had a hard time giving Him 100%. So anyways I know it's important to trust God, and I'm working on that.

So after we finally made it back to the car we decided it would be best to just drive to New Orleans, and we'd take turns driving, one of us would sleep while the other drove. It worked out pretty well, and we made it safely :) The only issue that totally freaked me out was the engine light went on halfway through the drive (in the middle of the night). Yes that was so horrible, but yet again I believe it was God saying "trust ME!" because when we arrived in New Orleans we took the car to a shop and the guy basically said it was such a minor thing he couldn't find the issue and that we'd be just fine. WOW was that a relief.

Anyways that's all I have for this post. Sorry I don't have that many pictures, like I said we arrived super late, and drove all night. There wasn't much room for picture taking.

So I totally forgot to write this in the beginning, but on our way from Amarillo to Whitaker Point we stopped at a Route 66 museum, and I was able to take a few fun pictures.

God Bless,

Gabriella

Matthew 1:18-25

Joseph Accepts Jesus as His Son

18 This is how the birth of Jesus the Messiah came about[a]: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be pregnant through the Holy Spirit. 19 Because Joseph her husband was faithful to the law, and yet[b] did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly.
20 But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. 21 She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus,[c] because he will save his people from their sins.”
22 All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: 23 “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel”[d] (which means “God with us”).
24 When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife. 25 But he did not consummate their marriage until she gave birth to a son. And he gave him the name Jesus.
