Day 4: The Grand Canyon

The Grand Canyon

This post was supposed to be up yesterday, but I did not have good internet service. Anyways I need to start this off quite oddly...I told Josh and Jake to send me a picture the day we left (July 9) so I could post it in my first blog (driving them to SFO) but I totally spaced and forgot about it until today, so here ya go boys:

On their way to North Carolina!!
They were a bit excited to visit :) Sorry it took so long to get the picture up! Now back to the original purpose of this post... The Grand Canyon!!
First off we started off the day with so delicious banana pancakes and of course tons of bacon! Thank you Rebecca for making the food ;)
I cannot explain the awe inspiring beauty of this park. We hiked down to Roaring Springs (5 miles) and back up (total of 10 miles). I think on a regular day me and Rebecca would have been just fine; however yesterday was not just any day, it was the day after we decided to run a half marathon (13.1 miles!!). I am so proud of us both for doing the hike after Saturday's run. Needless to say we're both very stiff haha and not so much today but yesterday had quite a time trying to walk around.

Anyways we had a blast, and I kind of wish we were still at the canyon exploring. So last night for dinner we decided that there was no way we were going to try and make anything so we decided to get a pizza, it wasn't as good as we'd hoped but it still was better than trying to make food.

I hope you all enjoy the overload of pictures, and of course as always keep us in your prayers.

xx,

Gabrie

Psalm 9:1-2
I will praise you, O Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonders. I will be glad and rejoice in you; I will sing praise to your name, O Most High.
