Bryce Canyon half marathon, Sunset Hike, Mossy Oak Cave and waterfall, and finally the Grand Canyon
Today July 11 Rebecca and I ran our half marathon-side note I
was terrified for this because I didn’t train for it- luckily it was a breeze! I was so
surprised it was all downhill and I finished in 2 hours and 19 minutes (which
is awesome for only starting my training two weeks prior to
leaving.) I am so happy we decided to run; the views were amazing, and the weather was nice…we got rained on! After the half we decided to soak up in the hot tub, and now we’re headed
to the GRAND CANYON!
Sunset hike at the canyon was breathtaking! I was utterly
surprised and the pictures show the actual views no justice. I would love to
one day return and do more adventurous hikes through the canyon.

Mossy Oak Cave and Waterfall were also very pretty. The
waterfall is a natural water flow and it was so surprising to see that in the
middle of the desert.

The Grand Canyon...all I can say is it is breathtaking. God is a magnificent God. I could sit at the canyon and just look at it all day. The weather is nice; however at the top of the canyon it is windy. Anyways the next blog post will be more descriptive.

Luke 19:37-40
When he came near the place where the road goes down to the Mouth of Olives, the whole crowd of disciples began joyfully to praise God in loud voices for all the miracles they had seen: "Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!" Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Jesus, "Teacher, rebuke your disciples!" "I tell you," he replied, "If they keep quite, the stones will cry out."

I love that Bible verse...every time I read it I really do think of yelling that with a loud voice.
ReplyDeletePastors sermon today was on Luke 12 "Beware of the Leaven of the Pharisees".
