Day 5: Four states in a day

The Four Corners, and Super 8 Motel

Yesterday July 13, Rebecca and I left the Grand Canyon and set off for the 4 corners. Last night we stayed in luxury (compared to what we've been doing). The Super 8 Motel! We had a shower and a real bed :) and this morning we had a "Super Star" breakfast *sarcasm* unfortunately it wasn't as super as the website proclaimed it would be... at least I got some fruit loops and orange juice LOL ;) The only reason we did not camp last night was because on our way here (Albuquerque, New Mexico) we encountered a rain, wind, thunder, and lightning storm. So because of those minor things we decided a hotel would be best.

Back to the actual important stuff...our wonderful trip! The 4 corners was not as exciting as I had imagined, but I'm happy we went. It's $5/person that enters, and you have to stand in a line in the hot sun to take a cool/creative picture so that's what we did.
I'd like to think my picture is both cool and creative haha but that's just me, you're allowed to have you're own
opinion. (Side note Rebecca took the same picture as me, but it was my idea hehe) Also my feet were burning because I decided to take my shoes off. But enough complaining. The weather was nice, we had a nice breeze, and I bargained with one of the sellers and got my post cards half off!

Monument valley
Before we visited the 4 corners we stopped at a national monument valley. We were too tired to go all the way to the monument (old stone houses) but we saw the pretty. valley ;) Unfortunately the sun was in our faces for the picture. But oh well, it's proof we went.

Now I'm just sitting in the hotel room probably till checkout. We're going to drive through the turquoise trail today, I'm so excited!

Cheers,

Gabriella

Psalm 7:10-13
My shield is God Most High, who saves the upright in heart. God is a righteous judge, a God who expresses his wrath everyday. If he does not relent, he will sharpen his sword; he will bend and string his bow. He has prepared his deadly weapons; he makes ready his flaming arrows.
